I can't thank you enough for putting this one together. I've long felt that Garland has gotten a raw deal, and aside from the NYT article yours is the first exposition of the timeline of Garland's tenancy as AG. While there are fair criticisms and some mistakes, he has worked with what he was handed. (I'd have shared the NYT article around, but I cancelled my subscription to the so called "Gray Lady" a year ago for its increasing both-sides, anti-Biden perspective and have never looked back.)

Thanks AG, I just read on X that we should see a couple hundred indictments in July that includes many folks in Congress. I’m hoping this isn’t just another rumor.

Now that would make us feel better. They should

Do something. Losing faith. I do feel Like somethings lurking though….but jeeeeeze

Well, it would help with the hope if you would clarify the source. Otherwise, it's just phantom speculation. Certainly, this all goes much farther than the public was led to believe, and if there was a mass of indictments like this, it would put ABSCAM to shame.

Thank you! After reading both the NYT articles regarding Garland and the obstacles he faced re: investigation of J6, I was fully in the Garland camp.

Your post highlights more details that are easier to quantify, and reaffirms my faith in him.

I'm addition, outlining how Barr & Trump installed loyalists in the DOJ and FBI , and the impediments to Justice, terrifies me. Can you imagine how much worse it will be in a second TRUMP term? Bye bye Democracy!

Yeah, imagine the Biden regime appointing loyalists into the DOJ? Oh the horror! GTFOH.

Thanks, A.G. I’m glad you’re posting on Substack.

Thank you AG. I figured there was a lot I didn’t know about what Garland has been up to, so I’ve refrained from criticizing him.

Thanks, AG. Your info here helps me to pass along to the people in my orbit who continue to bash Garland for ‘sitting on his hands’. When you know, you know. Thanks! ❤️

Very good article. The GOP has been conspiring for a long time to pack DOJ and the Judiciary with appointments/infiltrators overly friendly to GOP leaders & causes. It's not difficult to figure out why so many right wing lawyers come up with so many outlandish & unConstitutional legal theories. The Koch ind. philanthropic arm, along with other billionaire fascists, have been buying favor, through law school endowments, supporting right wing think tanks, large campaign donations and bribing Supreme Court Justices for a long time.(Decades) For any that find this hard to believe, Jane Mayer's 'Dark Money' is an eye opener. I've suspected all along that McConnell's GOP had conspired to set up a judicial and DOJ obstacle course. Thank you AG for providing more evidence supporting my conclusion. There is some blame for this, that belongs to Dems.; that blame is due to not pushing back aggressively enough, and Congress' sleeping at the switch. Things will not improve until enough of the nation wakes up, from the mesmerizing effects of Russian/GOP propaganda, to observe the depths of GOP corruption. They must become the minority party for a protracted period if we are to save the nation.

This is so, so awesome. Could we in fact get that to be published on the MSM , Ms. AG ??? Please ??

How do we do that ??? I mean not the NYT but the WaPo ?? For example ?? Politico ??

WaPo is in THE ALWAYS-WHINING, BIG FAT, CORRUPT, DEMENTED, INCOMPETENT, RACIST, SEXIST, SERIAL ADULTERER, LYING RAPIST, AND NAZI's pocket. We need to have a principled, respected outlet.

I stopped NYT subscription, and sadly my Wash Post just renewed automatically. I should really set that to not auto-renew and give it up. I feel like reading this and other Substack offers of folks who do read/parse/analyze among others these two and other MSM would be good enough.

Good idea.

Thank you, I recall Lindsey Graham delaying the AG nomination process from the get go and knew from Geoffrey Berman book that another DA had taken the bait Barr offered (but he refused) prior to Barr lying and saying he'd resigned, then ultimately being fired but TG he held out for having his deputy fill behind instead of another plant or we may have never seen Jeffrey Epstein arrested and likely more because Barr also interfered in the election interference investigation for the trial now in progress. I do hope to see many more people held accountable for J6.

Appreciate all that info. I, too, disagreed with some of his actions (though I’m no lawyer so that took some gall on my part) but overall I have admired him and his fealty to the law. “Faster, faster!!” has been a constant whine and criticism of AG Garland. I’m impatient too. I’d love nothing better than to hear the decisive clang of a cell door being slammed shut.

But competent lawyers and judges all know it’s 3-dimensional chess they have to play to avoid being reversed on appeal etc. 👍

Thank you for sharing this. I honestly had a feeling the criminal defendant had his dirty little hands in this. The corruption from that administration is appalling and beyond disgusting.

You are better than a fly on the wall. Appreciate the facts. As active as Garland has been in his role (and I appreciate it!!!), it's such a pity he wasn't appointed to the Supreme Court in 2015. The US could certainly use him there, too!

Thank you for explaining all of that information. It makes a lot more sense now.

Thank you. Especially for the Sally Yates recusal opinion, which I share and shouted loudly about during Biden's transition. Before and after J6.

I've learned to wait until I see your write-up on what's going on to see things in a logical, professional way filled with facts, not innuendo, insults or fact-free theories. Cursing, of course, is allowed. One thing I've learned over the years is that one of the easiest things to write is criticism when you ignore the facts, or don't even bother to research them.

You've explained the facts clearly such than a non-expert like myself could understand. I very much appreciate that. Following you and your work has been most informative. Thanks so much.
