Jack Smith's Immunity Appendix Unsealed

Well. It's *kind of* unsealed.

Over Trump’s objections, the second part of Jack Smith’s immunity brief has been unsealed for all to see. You’ll recall, the first part was the 165-page motion - the narrative explaining the case and the evidence, which is available in audio version on the Jack podcast feed. The second part is the the evidence supporting the 165 page motion and the Special Counsel’s case in chief: the appendix.

The appendix is 1889 pages - and as I posited a while back - over 1,100 pages - or about 62% of the appendix remains under seal pursuant to last year’s evidence protection order provisions.

So what’s in the 700+ pages of unredacted stuff? I made a list for you:

VOLUME I:

Mostly under seal, but some unsealed transcripts of January 6th Select Committee interview transcripts. Most of this is stuff we’ve seen or heard in testimony, though there is a new bit about Trump’s valet watching him sip Diet Coke while he watched the Capitol Seige.

VOLUME II:

This is every single tweet, retweet, like, and quote tweet mentioned in the 165 page immunity motion, including Trump’s “will be wild” tweet, Bernie Kerik’s tweets, and Chris Krebs tweets to name a few.

VOLUME III:

Part of a transcript of an Arizona court hearing for Trump v Hobbs on Nov 13, 2020. In it, trump’s election fraud case is dismisses as moot because the numbers are wildly inaccurate. 

Highlighted photocopied excerpts from Mike Pence’s book.

A readout of the meeting Michigan legislators Shirkey and Chatfield had with trump at the White House.
