Interesting that Woodward seems unable to assist his client in any aspect of these issues, what is he being paid for...or maybe it's about who is "paying"?

He is used to advising clients to say I canโ€™t recall or I donโ€™t remember..he really doesnโ€™t do any real lawyering.

Jack Smith does a wonderful job. Judge Cannon on the other hand is corrupt Federalist Society Leonard Leo pick and totally in their cult

Exactly, Thank you!

Wasnโ€™t nauta the one moving the boxes around at treason-a-lago?

I suspect the "simple and easily correctable user error" was corrected by saying "press the start button on the page, dodo."

I think itโ€™s โ€œis your computer plugged in?โ€

In the computer programming &repair world, this is known as a ID-10T error (idiot)....

Those errors originate between the keyboard and the chair.

See also, NTF (no trouble found) RTFM (read the F' manual).

Seems to me that they're still accomplishing their goal of delay, delay, delay. Cannon is probably not going to do one thing about their very deliberate incompetence.

I just have to say that I find the photo of Waltine adjusting theDonald's collar just SO ICKY! The look on his face, like he's changing a bandage on a draining wound and doesn't want to hurt his patient, gives me the hurls.

What kind of Mickey Mouse lawyer is this? Oh yeah, the kind trump "pays" for.

Judge Cannon will probably grant the extension.

Judge Cannon is a corrupt Judge that Leonard Leo started grooming for the federal court and made sure to give Trump her name to appoint. She probably knew the Trumps for a long time. Everybody that is involved with the Federalist Society is part of the cult . They have judges that they hand picked planted in over 200 courts. I donโ€™t think it was a luck of the draw that they drew her for Trump trial. All of the morbidly rich pay millions and billions to the SPACS &PACS like Federalist Society and Heritage Foundation to name a few. They really like Clarence and Gini Thomas. And several other SCOTUS

There was a recent (comedic) series about the so called "burglars" in the Nixon fiasco to break into offices & steal files - I predict when the movie is made about THIS fiasco of a legal proceeding, the Nauta legal filings will also be done for comedic effect. Seriously - 2023/24 and someone who is a lawyer or a defendant doesn't have ACCESS to a computer to play CCTV footage? FFS our PHONES can do that ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

โ€œNautaโ€™s difficulty meeting the Courtโ€™s deadline is entirely of his own making."

hmmm.... lol. Trust Jack Smith to word it elegantly, as MuellerSheWrote so elegantly herself underlines. lol

This is an incredible well-written summary. As I understand it, Nauta faces five counts of concealing or withholding documents and taking part in a conspiracy to obstruct justice. I'm not an attorney but worked with some of the best when in government. Everyone understands the motivation for Nauta (and Trump) to look for ways to delay the trial since their guilt is so obvious. There's a prima facie case here -- they even have video of boxes being moved. But is Nauta also angling for an appeal based on ineffective representation of counsel?

During my nearly 14 years in govt. (OMB and DOD) I held (at peak) TS/SCI with SI (COMINT), TK (TALENT KEYHOLE (satellite products), G (GAMMA, a sub-control system of COMINT), and HCS (HUMINT) tickets. Some of the documents recovered from Mar-a-lago appear to be at levels/compartments even I was never cleared for. This begs several questions: What level of clearance did Nauta hold after Jan. 20 2021 (I suspect none)?; Did Nauta ever deliberately open the boxes and look at the documents (as opposed to his testimony that some boxes had fallen and spilled out the contents)? Is it possible that Jack Smith decides to amend the indicment and add charges (perhaps to increase the pressure). For example, 18 U.S. Code ยง 1924 - Unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or material provides for fines or imprisonment for not more than five years or both.

The photo of Nauta fixing Trumpโ€™s collar reminds me of the remora fish that suctions onto sharks and eat their parasites and the scraps the fall from the sharkโ€™s kills.

Bless his heart, indeed. I have to wonder how a person can feel so worthless that they hitch their wagon to the Trump crime family and clearly expect something in return. Now we find out that Waltine is depending on legal assistance from The best that the big orange yam can buy; some idiot that has no relevant skills to survive in our modern world.

Nauta and Woodward can play dumb only to the extent that "Judge" Cannon will allow, and so far she's done precious little to compel the defendants to pull their fingers out and get on with the business at hand. So, as long as there remains a complaisant judge overseeing this bollocks of a "trial", this shite will continue, bank it.
