Hey AG, anyone wanting to make good trouble can file a Bar Complaint against Emil Bove III with the NY courts. Http://nysba.org. The NY Rules of Professional Conduct (eff. Jan 1. 2025) prohibit (a)(6)knowingly engage in other illegal conduct or conduct contrary to these Rules; “ and so on. Reference Bove’s letters and the NYTimes articles.

There’s an opportunity with these mass resignations to drive a wedge between the DoJ / Heritage Foundations and the Federalist Society. Start by demanding the Federalist Society take a public stand against the DoJ’s efforts to “dismiss” the charges against Adams conditioned on him taking a stance against undocumented immigrants.

I just sent a letter to Governor Hochul. Let's put some pressure on her to remove Adams. To do nothing is inviting disaster.

Shouldn't Leticia James be petitioning SDNY to hand over the evidence gathered for state charges.? No need for Hochul to resort to extraordinary measures, keep this black eye in the courts.

The leverage disappears with a NY state investigation.

Doesn't Sullivan's action stem the tide of resignations?

While this is undeniably corrupt is it big enough to bring down the administration? Shouldn't the Public Integrity Unit keep it's powder dry for something undeniably linked to the President and big enough to force the House to start impeachment, presuming they can Spiro Agnew Vance first?

[Updated Sat. 2-15-25]  Nixon's "Saturday Night Massacre"--where two lawyers resigned in protest--became famous as part of Tricky  Dicl's own forced departure.   Trump now has his own enhanced, explosive "Thursday Night Massacre" where not two but seven DOJ lawyers resigned in their protest against dropping the quid pro quo criminal action against NY Mayor Adams.   This week's heroes  ("Lighthouses in the Storm" h/t Armand Beede@Blue Note) are: Danielle Sasson, John Keller, Kevin Driscoll, Rob Heberie, Jenn Clarke, Marco Palmieri, and Hagen Scotten.   They  resigned after  Acting deputy Attorney Emil Bove issued a directive to drop the Adam's case..   These heros in pursuit of justice and the rule of law are now included in the lionhearted below fighting against authoritarianism, Trump cruelty,  and for pre Trump/Musk. democracy.Numerous undaunted truth-to-power fighters have been added per viewer's inputs and recent Trump and DOJ actions.  Besides upstanding lawyers and law-abiding honorable (present and former) judges, here's a growing list of Profiles in Courage men,  women, and advocacy groups  who refuse to be cowed or kneel to the force of the Trump/Musk  intimidation.]   These heros in pursuit of justice and the rule of law are now included in the lionhearted below fighting against authoritarianism, Trump cruelty,  and for democracy--pre Trump/Musk.

I'll begin, again,  with Missouri's own undaunted Jess[ica] (à la John Lewis's "get in good trouble") Piper.  Then, in no particular order, Heather Cox Richardson,  Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde, Karen Pence, Pope Francis (re cruel migration treatment) , Ruth Ben-Ghait, Dan Rather, Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell, Chris Hayes, Robert Reich, Jim Acosta, Jen Rubin and the Contrarians, Steve Brodner, Brian Tyler Cohen, Jonathan Bernstein, Simon Rosenberg, Rachel Coyle, Jessica Craven, Sharon McMahon, Ron Filipkowski!, Anne Applebaum, David Frum, Susan H. And, as Joyce Vance says, "We're in this together"--or via Jess Piper, from rural Missouri: "Solidarity."   FIGHT BACK!  WE ARE NOT ALONE ( Google any name above for more info if unfamilar, then enjoy below) [Someone named Kelly Boughton Michaud posted this on her Facebook page  [H/T Jessica Craven and her "Chop Wood, Carry Water" newsletter]

Thank you AG., I heard Gov. Hochul being interviewed on Rachel Maddows show 2/14/25. Rachel asked her directly why she hasn't fired Adams. In my opinion she obfuscated and dithered in her non response. Gov. Hochul can end all of this and could have ended this ages ago had she just fired Adams. (let me know if I got that wrong, but that was my takeaway). So once again we have a Democratic politician who is not willing to use their power, waited too long (for what reason?) and we have a bigger mess than we needed to have. With, I think now "7" amazing prosecutors gone.

And whose positions will now be filled with Trump lackey's. I know you can't answer my question, but what is it with Democrats NOT using the powers that they have? That's how we ended up here.

Thank you.

Democrats, such as Hochul want to have a chance to win in their next election. The Trump forces (including 1500 pardoned Yahoos) can threaten anyone about to run for office from taking a public stance. As usual life where evil confronts good becomes complicated. [I'm all for taking a stand no matter what.]

I think Governor Hochul should leave the Adams pawn in place on the board, to let this all play out, so that a judge can ask those questions of Emil Bove - raised by Sassoon's resignation letter.

If Adams is removed he immediately becomes useless to the Musk regime and Trump signs a pardon, then this all disappears from the public view. While Adams is still Mayor, and the indictment still active, the opportunity exists for the judge to question and expose the corrupt actions of Emil Bove and, through him, possibly AG Pam Bondi. Via the excuse "I was only following orders."

Why remove your own compromised pawn when it might still be utilized to take out an opposing pawn, and possibly a rook as well?

So open blackmail and threats. As these threatened firings are illegal why is anyone leaving their jobs. Just carry on and if denied access add that to the up coming joint actions. The opposition parties need to pull together a fund raiser for support all these firings.

Damn it,

Someone from tech services must know how to get them back in and work remotely as they had to do that in COVID.

I know it's not that simple but they should have seen this coming.

I would take a packed lunch a drink and a bowl k and a board game and sit outside, basically camp out and change shifts. They have to come out or go in at some point.

The maintenance guys will know other ways to get in I'm sure ,sometimes there are ectric boxes on the outside of buildings. It only takes one switch to turn it off and mees with them. Or the oil runs out for the heating etc. just making these rats uncomfortable and unwanted can mess with their heads

Of course that fire alarm going off again is a nuisance. Some systems go off when dust goes in a vent not fire or smoke. Someone cutting paving slabs near my hotel got inside and the alarms went off....just saying. They need to make it uncomfortable for these guys, video them going in and out it will wind them up.

Wow, and thank you. I didn't realize the NY governor could fire the NYC mayor, but for sure Eric Adams is an embarrassment to the state as well as the city, not to mention the Democratic Party.
