Companies Ditching DEI
Please feel free to reply with additional corporations! Let's name and shame them.
Given the pressure being put on companies to abandon their diversity, equity, and inclusion programs from republican attorney’s general, I have been asked to send out a partial list of the companies that are bending the knee to the Trump regime:
1. Target: The retailer concluded its three-year DEI goals and ended its Racial Equity Action and Change (REACH) initiatives by 2025.
2. Walmart: Walmart rolled back several DEI initiatives, including not renewing a five-year commitment to a racial equity center established in 2020 and withdrawing from the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.
3. Lowe’s: The home improvement retailer ended its participation in the Human Rights Campaign’s surveys and changed its internal policy to no longer sponsor or support parades or festivals.
4. John Deere: In July 2024, John Deere announced it would eliminate all DEI policies in favor of a quality-based workplace.
5. Harley-Davidson: The motorcycle manufacturer ended diversity and other progressive initiatives, stating it had not operated a DEI function since April 2024.
6. Tractor Supply: The farming supplies retailer halted sponsorship of non-business activities such as Pride festivals and voting campaigns to focus more on “rural America priorities.”
7. Ford Motor Company: Ford stepped back from some DEI initiatives, including ending participation in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.
8. Molson Coors: The brewing company eliminated DEI training after all employees completed it and removed defined supplier diversity goals.
9. Brown-Forman: The maker of Jack Daniel’s whiskey pulled back on DEI initiatives, including stopping linking bonuses and pay to DEI progress and ending participation in an annual ranking of companies with an LGBTQ-friendly environment.
10. Amazon: Amazon halted some of its DEI programs, focusing instead on programs with proven outcomes and fostering a more inclusive
In addition to the previously mentioned companies, several other major corporations have recently scaled back or discontinued their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies
1. Meta (formerly Facebook): Meta has ended its DEI programs, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressing concerns over the effectiveness of such initiatives.
2. McDonald’s: The fast-food giant has rolled back its diversity goals, aligning with a broader corporate trend of reassessing DEI commitments.
3. Toyota Motor Corporation: In October 2024, Toyota announced it would refocus its DEI programs and cease sponsorship of LGBTQ+ events, citing a highly politicized discussion about DEI.
4. Caterpillar Inc.: The construction equipment manufacturer scaled back its DEI initiatives in September 2024, following external pressures.
5. Boeing Co.: In November 2024, Boeing dismantled its DEI team amid growing external pressures.
6. Nissan: In December 2024, Nissan scaled back its DEI policies following external pressures.
7. American Airlines: The airline moved away from DEI practices in 2024 amid growing pressure from conservative groups.
8. John Deere: In July 2024, John Deere announced it would eliminate all DEI policies in favor of a quality-based workplace.
9. Harley-Davidson: The motorcycle manufacturer ended diversity and other progressive initiatives, stating it had not operated a DEI function since April 2024.
Again, please feel free to add to this list in the replies.

Well, I was going to need a new car in a year or so and I was looking forward to another Toyota because I love my prius. I was hoping to get a Rav4 hybrid, but now, a CRV-hybrid. Check out Honda and their great diversity track record: Honda has been recognized, for the 3rd consecutive year, as one of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity in 2024 by Fair360, formerly DiversityInc.
The company ranked 35th, climbing from the 48th spot in 2023.
Honda was again named as one of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity by Fair360, formerly DiversityInc. This marks the third consecutive year that the organization has recognized Honda’s efforts. Honda ranked 35th on the list this year, up from number 48 in 2023.
A pack of sleazebag AGs sent letters to COSTCO falsely claiming having DEi policies are illegal. Anyone in those states should be contacting their statehouse reps to demand answers and accountability from the AG.
